Prom 2023 was held at the beautiful Eagles Nest on Saturday, May 6. The students all looked great and danced the night away. Also, congratulations to this years Prom King & Queen - Jack Hogg & Hannah Adkins and Prom Prince & Princess - Adonis Westerberg and Alivia Androff!

From FCUSD 168: The fire alarm went off at Central Junior High School this morning. Students were temporarily moved to FIS. The West Frankfort Fire Department has inspected the scene and declared it all clear. Students are returning to CJHS for their regular school day.

The Franklin County Art Show was hosted by FCHS Art Department on Saturday, April 29. It included work from WF, Benton, Zeigler-Royalton, Sesser-Valier, and Christopher High Schools. All artists did an amazing job, but we are especially proud of our FCHS winning artists:
Arynn Studer for winning 1st Place in Watercolor Painting, 1st Place in Sculpture/3D Design/Ceramics, 3rd Place in Digital Drawing, winning a Teacher's Choice Award from Zeigler-Royalton, and a Judge's Choice Award,
Madalynn Spetter for winning 1st Place in Edited Photography and 3rd Place in Raw Photography,
Allison Murray for winning 1st Place in Digital Drawing and 2nd Place in Raw Photography,
and Abigail Banks for winning 1st Place in Digital Art/Photoshop/Layered Imagery. Congratulations and well done!!
There will be a softball meeting at CJHS cafeteria on Friday May 5th at 8am for any 5th, 6th or 7th grade student interested in playing softball next year. This is for our CJHS softball team.

The May FCHS Senior of the Month is Hannah Adkins. Hannah is the daughter of Jon and Allyson Adkins and Sarah Adkins. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Judy Little. Her favorite class is the Edge Program. Her
post-high school plans include attending college in the fall and majoring in Biology on the Pre-Med track. Her dream job is to go into Pediatrics. In her free time, she has a home baking business to keep up with, and she also loves to hang out with friends and family, read, and go to church.
