An update from Frankfort CUSD #168 and Denning Elementary School: We thank everyone for their patience and cooperation as we had to make the call to dismiss our youngest students early this afternoon. The remaining students who are not being picked up are being transported to Frankfort Intermediate School to catch their bus or attend Redbird Roost after school. All District schools will be in session tomorrow, Thursday, April 24. If there is any change to that schedule, we will have an update posted at approximatly 7:30 this evening.
Boys Track Schedule Update.
We will not be at the Marion Track Meet on Friday. 4/26
A water line was cut near Denning Elementary School a little after 11 this morning. Until it is fixed, Denning has no running water. Therefore, we are dismissing classes for DENNING SCHOOL ONLY at this time. Classes are dismissed is for SIU Pre-K afternoon classes and all Early Childhood, Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade students. Parents and guardians should come to the school to pick up their student. Busses will run for the District at their regular time this afternoon. We will have more updates as they become available. Thanks for your understanding.

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. a meeting conducted by the Frankfort CUSD #168 will take place at the Office of Student Services, 508 East Main Street, West Frankfort, IL. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and/or home schools within the district for the 2024-2025 school year. If you are a parent of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of Frankfort Community School district, you are urged to attend. Congratulations to Madi Tate and Alivia Androff for earning scholarships to John A. Logan College. Madi plans on becoming a Veterinarian and Alivia plans on becoming a Dental Hygienist. These two young ladies have worked very hard for this honor!!
