A Text Message and Live Feed Post from Frankfort CUSD #168: Please be sure to dress warm tomorrow morning for school as we WILL BE in session in West Frankfort Public Schools on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. We have cleared sidewalks and entry ways at our buildings. We did leave some of this dryer snow on some of our parking lots for traction. We welcome our students for learning tomorrow. Be sure to check the lunch menus for what we are serving tomorrow.

CJHS Volleyball Tryouts will be held at Central on January 16th, 17th, & 18th.
6th Grade: 5:00- 6:30 pm
7th/8th Grade: 6:30-8:00 pm
A sign-up sheet is available at FIS and Central in the main office. Please make sure you have a current physical on file. Absences due to school activities are excused. Please reach out to Coach Jennifer Skelton if you have any questions.

Our HS boys basketball takes on Murphysboro at Murphysboro. Freshman start at 5pm.

Our High school boys take on Eldorado at home. 5:30 Freshman start

HS boys at home against Anna. Freshman start is at 5:30.
Before the Varsity game starts we will induct Jason Wollard (Class of 1992) into our Redbird Hall of Fame

An update from FCUSD 168: Just as we posted the previous message about the power outage at Denning Elementary School and the west side of town on our website and social media platform a few moments ago, the power came back on. We will run slightly delayed lunch periods, but we will continue normal operations for the rest of the day at Denning and across the District. I am also sending this message as a text to Denning Elementary families.
A message from FCUSD 168: there is currently an electrical outage on the west side of town that includes Denning Elementary School. We anticipate power restoration shortly so that we can get back to normal operations. If that changes, we will update everyone as soon as possible. Our students have been having a good morning as we welcomed everyone back to school from break today and start the second semester. Please be aware that the school's phone lines are currently down for incoming calls. At this point, calls can be directed to the unit office.

HS Girls Game Schedule Update
Thursday night the 21st there will just be a Varsity game that starts at 6pm at Central School. The 3rd and 4th grade teams will scrimmage at halftime of this game. Thank you, and please share.

Friday, the FCHS student council hosted a very special guest - Santa! We had so much fun hanging out with our favorite Kringle, and out was a great way to finish out our winter spirit week.
Congrats Keri White on a great career. Mr Donkin is presenting her with a plaque at her last board meeting. Great Job!
