On July 9, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated their guidance for schools and the State Superintendent, on behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).  This guidance will help us to make local decisions to hold school and welcome back all of our students in-person on Friday, August 13.

To repeat, schools in Frankfort CUSD #168 will open fully in-person on August 13.  We will continue to follow enhanced cleaning and sanitizing guidance and follow the revised social distancing guidance to the greatest extent possible.  To continue our successful efforts to limit the spread of COVID at our schools that we’ve had to this point, we will have more up-to-date information about how we will manage facial coverings closer to the start of school.

It is hoped all of our students, faculty, and staff are enjoying their time off this summer and will be ready to jump into a new and exciting school year next month.
