PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Education of Frankfort CUSD #168 in Franklin and Williamson Counties, Illinois, will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 5:50 p.m. at the Central Junior High School Library located at 1600 West Ninth Street in West Frankfort, Illinois, for the purpose of receiving testimony on the District’s proposed application for a Waiver of the Illinois School Code found at 105 ILCS 5/17-1.5 which limits administrative costs to a maximum of 5% of the previous fiscal year’s expenditure. For Fiscal Year 2024, the District proposes an increase of 8% of the previous year’s expenditure. This increase in expenditures is due to the additional budgeted costs to hire and retain qualified staff as well as increased costs in benefit and supply line items.
Following the Hearing, the Board will convene their Regular Meeting at approximately 6:00 p.m.
